Las Menas is an old mining town located in Los Filabres Mountain which belongs to the municipality of Serón. From the late 18th Century until 1968 iron was extracted in this area. The mining activity in the region involved up to around 2.900 people. Many of these people didn’t live in Las Menas so they had to walk every day having to go across the mountain from towns such as Serón, Alcóntar o Bacares among others.
In Las Menas, you can find plenty of important buildings from that period, some of which have been completely restored forming part of our Mesón Camping
